The whole process took about 30 minutes. As usual, Huang Chuanbing, an engineer from the general contracting management department of the Olympic Sports Center project, came to the stadium project site early in the morning to coordinate the work. February 28 was the twentieth day of the workers' full resumption of work after the Chinese New Year, and it was also the first day of the steel canopy structure of the entire Olympic Sports Center project. On the oval stands of more than 40,000 square meters, the huge suspension beam slowly fell in front of them, and then through the riveting and welding tools in the hands of the workers, it was integrated with the steel beams on the stands bit by bit. The completion of the first hoisting of the stadium steel structure means the official start of the steel canopy structure of the two halls and one stadium of the Olympic Sports Center. "The steel structure construction of the main stadium of the Olympic Sports Center uses the largest 750-ton crawler crane in China. The construction technology used in this steel canopy structure is also leading in China." Huang Chuanbing told reporters that the completed stadium steel canopy is a three-dimensional structure composed of 73 steel suspension bridges spliced by connecting beams. Among them, the heaviest steel structure hoisting project will reach 110 tons, and the span of the suspension bridge is 57 meters. According to the person in charge of the Municipal Key Project Construction Management Bureau, the Olympic Sports Center project mainly consists of two halls and one stadium: a stadium, a gymnasium, a multi-functional hall, a landscape tower and a sports school. At present, the main projects of the two halls and one stadium and the sports school have been completed. Since February 28, the two halls and one stadium have entered the steel structure construction stage. After the steel hoisting construction is completed, the exterior curtain wall and metal roof construction will be carried out. Bengbu Olympic Sports Center is located east of Taoshan, west of Jiefang Road, south of Yanshan Road, and east of Longzi Lake Scenic Area. It covers an area of 514 acres and has a total construction area of 144,000 square meters. After completion, it will become the main venue for the 14th Anhui Provincial Games in 2018. It will also become the highest-level and most well-equipped national sports and leisure center in our city at this stage.
